The Board of Directors of Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida, Inc. is composed of members who have a variety of skills and perspectives. Members represent a range of ages and reflect the racial, ethnic, religious, and other diverse demographics present within the multiple geographic areas served by the council. They are individuals who do not perceive the role of a board member as an advocate for a particular constituency group, but as a steward responsible for the decisions that will best serve the needs of the total council.

The Board Development Committee prepares and presents at the Annual Meeting of the Council a single slate of nominees to be considered for election by the voting members to the Board of Directors, Board Development Committee, and delegates and alternates to the National Council.  The BDC seeks a talented, diverse pool of candidates aligned with Our Key Strategic Priorities: Volunteerism, Funding, Pathways & Outcomes, Marketing, and Technology.
