Sun Jul 23, 8:00 AM - Sat Jul 29, 8:00 PM
Baltimore, Maryland
Ambassadors, Seniors
For registered Girl Scout members, girls bridging into grade 9 - 12.

It's not the destination, but the journey.
And, getting there can be amazing!  Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida will participate in an Urban Backpacking/Camping Expedition led by expert instructors from Baltimore Outward Bound.  Baltimore's rich city environment provides the opportunity for learning and adventure.  While backpacking through the city, girls will engage with people, food, places, and activities that are very different from their everyday experiences.  Throughout this trip we will weave community service projects that will enhance Girl Scout Gold Award ideas and projects.  Adventure activities and camping will inspire girls to achieve more than they could ever imagine.  Urban Backpacking Exploration Program is devoted to developing girl's confidence, courage, and self-reliance.  Come be a part of this incredible experience and build the courage to find your path to help change the world.

GSGCF worked hard to keep this exciting event priced reasonably and is exploring partial scholarship options.  We require ten girls to participate in order to offer this program. A $100.00 deposit must be paid upon registration.  The remaining balance is due by May 10, 2017.  GSGCF is happy to work with each family if they would like to make payments towards the balance due.  You must contact council headquarters to arrange for payments.

Registered participants will be sent the scholarship application the beginning of March.

Adult chaperone: One adult spot available for this trip. Please contact Gina at  for chaperone information.  Must be a registered Girl Scout member and have completed the Volunteer Application and Background Check to receive Volunteer Approval status to attend this trip.
