Outdoor Camp Skills Certification allows you to take your girls camping practically anywhere! Anyone in the troop/group can serve as a camp-trained volunteer.

This is a two-part course:

You must be able to attend both courses together. While attending the Planning Session, you will plan ahead for the At Camp Session.

  1. Planning Session: Topics covered include: camp planning with the girls, Kaper charts, progressions, and basic skill instruction. You will form a “patrol” at the Planning Session to plan meals that will be prepared during the At Camp Session. Each member of your patrol will select items that they will bring to the At Camp Session.
  2. At Camp Session: Scheduled for December 14, 6 p.m.-December 15, 5 p.m. at Camp Caloosa. Participants will learn and demonstrate outdoor cooking techniques, fire building, and tying knots, how to execute camp safety, and hiking through camp, while having fun with new volunteer friends.
  • Please note: Registering for this session means you MUST attend both sessions, the Planning Session, November 27, 2018 and the At Camp Session on December 14-December 15, 2018 at Camp Caloosa.  After you have attended Planning Session, we will automatically place you in the At Camp Session.
