Welcome to Online Volunteer Orientation

This course is designed to help Girl Scout troop leaders with the following:

  • Understand the responsibilities of leaders and co-leaders.
  • Become familiar with Volunteer Essentials and Safety Activity Checkpoints basics.
  • Abide GSGCF council policies in order to ensure compliance.
  • Explore GSGCF social media outlets and policies.
  • Conduct a parent meeting.
  • Use common forms.

Complete the following steps to complete this course.

  1. STEP ONE: Download the Online Orientation Packet HERE.
  2. STEP TWO: Watch the training video HERE.
  3. STEP THREE: Complete the Volunteer Position Agreement HERE to receive credit for the course, and move to the next stage of the volunteer process.
Engaging Parents
Welcome to Engaging Parents Online Resourse Video!

This course is designed to help Girl Scout troop leaders with the following:

  • Conduct a Girl Scout meeting and a parent meeting
  • Understand why it is important to get help from parents
  • Introduce troop parent tasks to parents
  • Identify troop parent tasks
  • Determine which tasks are vital to each troop
  • Require and foster parent support
  • Relay terms and training for each task to parents
  • Identify and understand uniform components
  • Foster and asmosphere of support with parents
