There are many ways to give needed support for Girl Scouting.
Annual Giving:
Each year, Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida, Inc. receives contributions from individuals and couples who support our ongoing work. These cash gifts form the backbone of our fundraising program, and we depend on them to meet our daily obligations. Your gift of any amount will help to provide enriching, educational, and exciting activities for girls in our council - girls in your own town.
Family Support Plan:
All Girl Scout families are given the opportunity to support Girl Scouting through the Family Support Plan. Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida, Inc. depends on contributions from the families of the girls we serve to support the growing needs of our organization so we can continue to provide outstanding program and activities. Twenty-five percent of each donation goes back to troops.
Major Gifts:
Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida, Inc. also seeks to raise funds for endowment growth and other special projects and purposes. We challenge you to make a make a larger gift, to stretch beyond your regular amount. Such gifts may come from savings or brokerage accounts and represent a significant contribution.
Legacy Gifts:
These gifts are sometimes made during one's lifetime and sometimes at death, as in the case of a bequest. They can involve cash and non-cash assets such as real estate, business holdings, or other estate assets. Often, these charitable gifts to Girl Scouts can provide the donor with financial benefits as well. This type of gift calls for careful planning and usually requires the assistance of a professional advisor.
Planned Giving:
Your gift to the Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida Inc. Endowment Fund is an investment in the future. There are many ways you can make your Planned Gift to the Endowment Fund. Call the Development Office at 800-232-4475 ext. 307 and we will provide you with additional information. Together we can make a world of difference, the Girl Scout difference, for generations to come.
Campership Fund:
The campership fund allows girls who need financial assistance to attend our resident camp. This support allows girls to have an awesome summer experience at camp!
Memorials & Tributes:
You may make a gift of celebration to recognize a graduate or someone's anniversary, a memorial gift in memory of a loved one or friend, or a tribute gift to honor a girl, adult volunteer, family member of friend.
Corporate Matching Gift Program:
Many companies have matching gift programs through which they match dollar for dollar employees' donations or have grants available for employees who volunteer their time. Check with your company's department of human resources for details.
Girl Scouting is made possible through the support of individuals, Girl Scout families, neighbors, community leaders, foundations, corporations, civic organizations, government agencies, and local United Ways. Whether funds are used for activities such as financial assistance or development of our camping facilities, the investment made by those in the community is making a difference one girl at a time. We are truly grateful for each and every financial gift that benefits the girls we serve.

Although we thankfully receive funds from several United Ways, these funds account for only a small portion of our budget. The goal of fund development of Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida Inc. is to diversify and increase income generated with a broad-based adult effort, which will support current and long-term stability.
