for volunteers

Girl Scouting is possible because of volunteers who give their time and talent as mentors, coaches and advisors through a variety of flexible opportunities and pathways.

Girl Scout volunteers are a diverse group of women and men whose expertise, skills, interests, and life experiences nurture each girl's individuality and leadership qualities. Members of the Board of Directors, task group participants, trainers, event and marketing volunteers, and many others also contribute to girls’ success as “leaders who support our leaders (girls).”

Volunteers work directly or indirectly with girls on a short-term or long-term basis, and receive instruction, guidance, and support from a variety of team members.
