Girl Scout Spirit Week
We are inviting all GSGCF Girl Scouts to show of your Girl Scout Spirit between Sunday March 12th and Saturday March 18th. Below are some fun and easy ways you, your family, your troop, and your friends can celebrate all week long!
Girl Scout Week is a time when we shout our Girl Scout pride from the rooftops! It’s also a time when many troops celebrate the connections between Girl Scouting and their faith, learn more about other faiths, and thank faith partners for their support throughout the year.
We want to see what you're doing each day of Girl Scout Week! Remember to post it on social media with the hashtag #GSGCFSpirit23.
Sunday, March 12 – Girl Scout Sunday
Friday, March 17 - Girl Scout Jummah
Friday, March 17–Saturday, March 18 - Girl Scout Shabbat
Girl Scout Week is a great time to plan a Girl Scouts and Faith celebration to celebrate girls’ achievement with their faith community!
Honor the Girl Scout sisterhood with your mosque, synagogue, temple, or church by asking faith leaders to recognize Girl Scouts in your faith community and by wearing your Girl Scout uniform to services. If your congregation isn’t already hosting a Girl Scout Jummah, Shabbat, or Sunday, start the conversation: ask how you can work with them to host a service or faith event for Girl Scouts.
Girls K-12 explore the connection between faith and the Girl Scout Law when they earn the My Promise, My Faith Award and Religious Recognitions for their Girl Scout level. Learn more at https://www.gsgcf.org/en/discover/about/GirlScoutsandFaith.html
Throw a party to celebrate Girl Scouts 111th Birthday with birthday cake, party games, and more. Invite your sister Girl Scouts and friends who are not yet Girl Scouts to have some fun and sing a traditional Girl Scout song. Ask all of your guests to bring a birthday gift to donate to a local charity. Remember to take picture to post on social media with the hashtag #GSGCFSpirit23.
Invite friends (not yet Girl Scouts) to join you in creating and exchanging SWAPS. Take a selfie with your friends and post it on social media with the hashtag #GSGCFSpirit23.
Share with us your purple pride by being inquisitive, humorous, kind, outspoken, diligent and authentic. (Inspired by: The World Needs for Purple People). Wear purple and post a picture on social media with the hashtag #GSGCFSpirit23.
Let your wild and wacky Girl Scout spirit shine by taking a selfie or photo celebrating Women's History Month. Don't forget to post it on social media with the hashtag #GSGCFSpirit23.
Interview a Girl Scout Alum and have them share with you a favorite "old school" craft activity or one of their favorite Girl Scout photos. Post the results on social media with the hashtag #GSGCFSpirit23.
Paint GSGCF green! Wear green to school or work and share your pictures with us on social media with the hashtag #GSGCFSpirit23
Mismatched or just plain silly, show off your style because silly socks rock! Then, take a selfie and post it on social media with the hashtag #GSGCFSpirit23.
