Girl Scouts Day at the Capitol

Grades: 6 -12

Dates: April 19th – April 21st

Location: Tallahassee, Florida

Cost: $270 per girl

Capacity: 30 girls, this is a girl only event


Get ready to embark on an exciting three-day adventure to rub elbows with government officials and learn about the inner workings of our state government. Girls in grades 6 - 12 will travel on a charter bus to the state capitol, Tallahassee, where they will connect with representatives and learn firsthand how our government works.

Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors from across the state of Florida will come together to learn about advocacy and local government. Girls will have the chance to meet and greet elected officials, participate in a photo opportunity, enjoy a Girl Scout expo with Florida council sisters, and tour the Capitol building. 

This program includes two nights in a hotel suite shared by the girls, 5 meals, 5 snacks, and a chartered bus. Girls will receive a letter excusing them from school for the 3 days they will be absent to attend this program. The total cost per girl for this trip is $570 total, however Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida will fund $300 per girl. So, girl cost to participate is $270.

Minimum number of participants for this program is 15.
