Seas the day and join us aboard The Explorer V for a two hour private marine life and nature boat tour through Sarasota and Roberts Bays! During the tour, girls will explore the ecology, history, and folklore of the area while observing the Florida manatees and the resident population of bottlenose dolphins! Girls will also participate in a guided nature walk of an uninhabited island, followed by a unique opportunity to view pelicans, herons, ibis, and egrets in their nesting habitat! Our guide will also collect a sample of the local wildlife with a trawl net, which will provide the girls with an opportunity to handle some of the curious residents of Sarasota Bay (puffer fish, sea horses, stone crabs, cow fish, and more)! A fun patch is included.

Girls will need to wear closed-toed shoes, bring a water bottle, sunscreen; sunglasses, and a hat. Cold drinks and snacks are available for purchase on the boat; outside food and beverages are also permitted.

The Explorer V is equipped with onboard restrooms and comfortable seating.

This is a drop off event. Only registered Girl Scout adult members, with an approved background check may attend.  All adults must register and pay to attend this program with girls.  All activities are included for adults.

We must meet a minimum of 15 girls to offer this event.

Registration deadline is 10/12/2023. Refunds and cancellations cannot be processed after 10/12/2023.
