Krysta is an Ambassador Girl Scout working towards her gold award. She is graciously offering her BAT-Vocate at Camp Honi Hanta to registered Girl Scout members in grades 2-12, at no cost. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
Do you adore bats? Do you dislike bats? Either way, this event is for you.
Centered on the only mammal that can fly, this event will help
girls understand the value and importance of bats.
Arriving at 9:00 am, the girls will begin their day by meeting
Peace River Wildlife's two ambassador bats--Echo and Radar. Stations
will also be set up for girls to rotate around and explore the
wonderful lives of bats. Finally, the girls will walk away with some
adorable bat crafts at 12:00 pm.
We will be outside for most of time, so please be sure to bring
sunscreen and bug spray as necessary. Closed toed shoes are NOT
optional, they are mandatory per camp guidelines.
There is no
cost to attend. Girls in grades 2 through 12 are invited to join us
for this event. Since there will be animals, girls must be age 7 or
older to attend. A camp patch is included as a thank you for attending
this event. Food is not included in this program. If necessary, girls
may bring a light snack.
This is a girl only, DROP OFF event. The event will end promptly at 12:00 pm. A minimum of 25 girls must be met in order to run this event. The maximum capacity for this event is 60 girls.
THIS EVENT IS BEING HOSTED BY AMBASSADOR GIRL SCOUT. THIS IS NOT A COUNCIL EVENT.
