Join Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida and Bat City Comics for a fun, hands-on workshop where girls will explore the world of comics. Girl Scouts will learn the fundamentals of comic strip creation, how to write unique characters, create compelling plots, and design dynamic panels.

Girl Scouts attending this badge workshop will discover how to bring their stories to life-comic book style! They'll create characters, dream up adventures, and turn their ideas into colorful, action-packed panels. Just like a real graphic novel team, they'll work together on a storytelling activity using a dry-erase board-sparking creativity and building teamwork as they go!

They will also learn industry terminology and explore the history of comics, focusing on the contributions of women in the industry.

Girls will take home a Comic Creation Workbook, two free comic books to foster future inspiration, and a Bat City Comic Professionals sticker as a keepsake!

Only registered Girl Scout Adult Members with an approved background check may attend. Adults must register and pay to attend this program.

Girls should represent GSGCF by wearing their vests/sash during this event.
