This comprehensive report stresses the concerns that we all have regarding the wellbeing of girls in Florida and confirms that boys and girls have a uniquely different experience growing up. In order to ensure girls in the state of Florida can achieve their full potential, we must recognize these findings and advocate for policies and resources to ensure all girls reach their full potential. If girls can dream it, they can do it. But they need our support now more than ever to overcome these alarming challenges. The Florida Girl Report is an opportunity to listen to the girls’ voices, build alliances, and focus on the critical areas of needs to provide girls with the future opportunities to grow, reach their full potential, and become tomorrow’s leaders.
