Junior, Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Girl Scouts are invited to
engage in a hands-on experience focused on animal care!
During this immersive experience, participants will deepen their
understanding of equine anatomy through hands-on grooming sessions,
enhancing their knowledge of horse care and maintenance. They will
also take part in stable management by cleaning stalls, reinforcing
the responsibility and dedication required to care for these majestic
animals. The day culminates in a riding session, where each girl can
choose to be guided by a handler or ride independently, allowing them
to challenge themselves, build confidence, and refine their
horsemanship skills in a supportive environment.
Alongside the horse activities, the girls will interact with the
friendly Nigerian Dwarf goats and chickens. This diverse experience is
designed to create lasting memories while educating them about animal
care.
Closed-toed shoes are required. Girls should also
wear hats, sunglasses, and comfortable clothing like capris, leggings,
jeans, or pants to prevent chafing from the saddle. Bring a reusable
water bottle.
Horseback fun patch will be included. Junior Horseback Riding Badge requirements will be fulfilled. Badge not included in price.
This will be a drop off event. We will need 4 Volunteers. Please contact customercare@gsgcf.org if interested in volunteering.
