This event offers a unique opportunity to explore the beautiful world of nature through the lens of art and mathematics. Junior Girl Scouts will embark on a fun-filled journey of discovery, learning how math is all around them in the natural world. Girls will combine math and art to create Mondrian style Fibonacci artwork, a radial relief paper project and fractal geometric animal zentangles. Through these hands-on activities, students will explore how mathematical patterns appear in nature, as well as how they can be used to create colorful and intriguing art. The Junior Shapes in Nature badge will be included in this program.
This is a drop-off event. Girl Scout adult members with an approved background check may attend. Adults will be registered on a first come, first served basis.
