Camps and Girl Scouting go hand-in-hand. Whether you’re camping with your troop or participating in an environmental education program, our council camp properties offer everything you need for your next great outdoor adventure!
Both camps include facilities and equipment for kayaking, canoeing, archery, trail exploration, and more.
In addition, two Girl Scout Houses are located throughout the council, along with council headquarters located in Sarasota.
GSGCF has transitioned to our new property reservation system, Brightly. You can use the Brightly link on this camp page to assist with creating individual login accounts. We are excited about transitioning to this new site, which will greatly assist you in many ways. Please follow these directions to create your new account.
Volunteers: Please complete the following:
- Create your login account: We highly recommend and request that when creating your login account, use your email address that is currently on file with GSGCF. Phone section, enter a cell phone number as you might encounter to provide a multi-authentication code when invoiced, we will be using PayPal for payments. You will receive an invoice only if your request has been approved by the council for your event.
- Email Address Verification: You will receive an email to VERIFY your email address. This must be confirmed for the council to provide you with permissions into the Brightly system.
- Request an organization: Login, scroll over the left side blue task bar. Click the icon that (looks like a person), My Profile, it will change the screen to see tabs across the top. Click on the My Organizations tab. Base on your role, if you are a Troop leader, Co-leader, or Troop Support Volunteer you will use the drop-down to request that organization. If you are a Service Unit Manager, you will select the drop-down in the Service Unit box. If you happen to hold both roles, select both to be requested. * Council admins will receive notice of the request; they will provide you with permissions and send you an email with how to submit requests for reservations. All submissions are now referred to as events.
Camp Honi Hanta 
Camp Honi Hanta consists of 123 acres of beautiful, natural property. Honi Hanta means “Home on the River,” making it the perfect name for this camp located on the shores of the Braden River. The camp features walking trails, a sports field, a swimming pool, archery range, river access for kayaking and canoeing, a ropes course and climbing wall, an air conditioned lodge with a small commercial kitchen, restrooms with shower facilities, and various sleeping accommodations. Total camp capacity is 178.
Camp Caloosa
Located in North Fort Myers, Camp Caloosa is positioned on 80 acres of beautiful, natural property. It is a place where Girl Scouts can play, grow, and learn. Total camp capacity is 153. The camp has two small lakes, walking trails, a sports field, two rainforests for cooling off, restrooms with shower facilities, and various sleeping accommodations. Camp Caloosa has both canoes and kayaks for use on its lakes, as well as archery and other sports equipment
Girl Scout Houses
Arcadia Girl Scout House - Capacity: 30
Amenities: Air-conditioning, restroom facilities, stove, and refrigerator.
Collier Girl Scout House - Capacity: 45
Amenities: Air-conditioning, one large room, restroom facilities, refrigerator, coffee pot, and microwave (no stove). Located near park facilities and an outdoor recreation area.
