This exploration for Seniors and Ambassadors is designed to inspire the next generation of innovators and environmental leaders. Girls will investigate concepts of sustainable design by designing and "building" their own city.


This tour of Marie Selby Botanical Gardens Downtown Sarasota Campus will also feature discussions about careers in renewable energies. Girls will compare photosynthesis and photovoltaic systems, exploring how models found in nature can be used to develop new technologies that contribute to a more sustainable future.


Please bring a refillable water bottle. Picnic lunch will be provided on the lawn. Please bring a blanket or towel to sit on.


This program is for girls entering grades 9-12 in August 2024.This program is open to senior and ambassador Girl Scouts. 

We must meet a minimum of 15 girls to offer this event.  The cost is $10 for girls.

This is a girl drop-off only event due to venue capacity. Registration is required to attend this program. 


Registration deadline is July 3, 2024. Refunds and cancellations cannot be processed after July 3, 2024.
