This is an American Red Cross Lifeguard Blended Learning Course. All participants must complete the required swimming skills prerequisite prior to taking the course. The skills assessment will include a 300-yard swim test and retrieving a weighted object from the bottom of the pool.
This class is taught in a blended learning format followed by 3 separate full day in-person sessions. The online portion (accessed via mobile, desktop or tablet) must be completed on your own by 06/21/2024 in order to attend the instructor-led skills session. You will receive an email confirmation from council regarding the course information after the registration closes; a separate link will be emailed to you from the Red Cross to access the online portion on or around 06/07/2024.

Throughout the course, participants will learn and be evaluated on knowledge and skills related to lifeguarding, water rescues, extrications, CPR and AED and First Aid.
At the conclusion of the course, participants must successfully complete final skills assessments.
Upon successful completion of all components of the course, each participant will receive a certificate for Red Cross Lifeguarding valid for two years.
Bring a bag lunch, snacks, water, towel, insect repellent, and sunscreen.
This course requires a minimum of 5 participants. Cost is $325 per person.
