Girl Scouts of
Gulfcoast Florida is thrilled to share an enriching opportunity to
engage in a hands-on experience focused on animal care. This event is
designed not only to enhance your understanding of horse anatomy but
also to instill a sense of responsibility and compassion towards all
animals.
Girls will learn horse anatomy, practice grooming and stall care, and enjoy the thrill of horseback riding. Girls will have the option to ride with a handler or try on their own, building confidence and learning new skills at their very own pace.
And that's not all-the girls will also meet the ranch's friendly Nigerian dwarf goats and chickens, and learn how to feed and care for them up close.
This day is the perfect mix of outdoor adventure, animal science, and Girl Scout sisterhood!
Please note that closed-toed shoes are required
(preferably ones that can get dirty) and you are encouraged to wear a
hat, sunglasses, and comfortable clothing like biker shorts, capris,
leggings, jeans, or pants to prevent chafing from the saddle. Bring a
reusable water bottle to use throughout the day.
A fun horseback riding patch will be included.
This will be a drop-off event. We are looking for 4 volunteers to help-if you're interested in volunteering, please contact Denise at denisev@gsgcf.org.
Registration closes: 12/04/2025. Refunds and cancellations cannot be processed after 12/04/2025.
