Join us for a quarterly reading adventure with the Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida! Each quarter, participating Girl Scouts will receive a featured book from the official Girl Scouts + HarperCollins publishing partnership-stories that uplift, inspire, and reflect the values of courage, confidence, and character.

After reading the book, girls will be invited to a fun and engaging Zoom discussion where they can connect with fellow Girl Scouts, share their thoughts, and explore the story's themes through meaningful conversation and exclusive insights from the author.

Let's turn the page together-one great book at a time!

How it works:

  • Sign up each quarter to participate.

Option 1: Register as a Girl for $10 to receive the book and mailed to you before the meeting.
Option 2: Register as a Family guest for $2 to receive only the patch by mail after the meeting. (book not included; you'll need to obtain your own copy).

  • Receive a Girl Scout book in the mail (included with registration).
  • Join the Zoom discussion a few weeks later to share your thoughts and connect with other readers.

All new members will receive an exclusive Book Club Patch to proudly display on their sash or vest.

Featured Book - Fall 2025:

Anika and the Great Dog Rescue by Sayantani Das Gupta

Anika loves animals.

She loves bird-watching in her backyard, volunteering at the animal shelter with her Girl Scout troop, and caring for her elderly neighbor's parrot. Anika wants a pet, but her parents have a long list of reasons to say no, including that they aren't sure Anika is up for the responsibility.

When Anika discovers a stray dog in her neighbor's backyard, she decides to take charge all on her own. Between friend fights at school and her mom working harder than ever, Anika could use the distraction. This is something she wants to handle herself. But then the pup doesn't show up for a few days and Anika is worried something is wrong. With time running out, it's up to Anika to build a web of support strong enough to bring the dog to safety.

A perfect read for Brownie and Junior-level Girl Scouts, girls will not only connect with Anika's journey but also discover what being a Girl Scout is truly all about.
