Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida is proud to offer this training with the help of YMCA of Englewood and HCA Florida Englewood Hospital. Join us for a powerful and empowering training experience that will equip Girl Scouts with the tools to support mental wellness in themselves and others.

Mental health matters - especially for youth navigating the challenges of modern adolescence. In this important and empowering program, Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors, and Adult Members will take part in Youth Mental Health First Aid training, designed to teach young people how to recognize, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in themselves and others.

Through age-appropriate (6th-12th Grade) discussions, activities, and guidance from certified instructors, participants will build critical skills in empathy, listening, self-care, and peer support. They'll learn how to identify when a friend might need help, how to connect with trusted adults, and how to take care of their own mental wellness.

Presented by YMCA of Englewood and sponsored by HCA Florida Englewood Hospital and Paradise Exclusive, this is a unique opportunity for Girl Scouts to take the lead in fostering a culture of understanding and support in their communities.

Only registered Girl Scout Adult Members with an approved background check may attend.

Girls should represent GSGCF by wearing their vests/sash during this event.

Lunch will be provided.
