Girls will have fun while they explore the concepts of automotive and mechanical engineering! Through interactive activities designed to spark problem-solving, teamwork, and innovation, they will learn new skills and meet the requirements to earn two engineering badges.

Automotive Engineering Badge

Daisies
Discover how cars are made on an assembly line, then design your own dream car with special features. Build a model, test it for quality, and learn about inspiring women mechanics! You'll also explore the basics of car maintenance.

Brownies
Travel the world through vehicles! Explore how different types of cars and trucks are used, learn how car features are designed, and see how simple machines power vehicles. Then design, build, test, and improve your own car with safety features. Plus, meet women mechanics and try out basic car maintenance skills.

Juniors
Step into the world of transportation! Learn about the history of cars, explore alternative fuels, and find out why car companies do market research. Discover the simple machines hidden inside cars, then design, build, and test your own set of vehicles. Along the way, meet women mechanics and learn basic car care.

Mechanical Engineering Badge

Daisies
Become a mini engineer! Design and play your own board game, learn the science behind roller coasters, and build cars to test and improve.

Brownies
Explore gravity, force, and energy while you design and improve three cool creations: a leap-bot, a fling-flyer, and a race car.

Juniors
Dive into physics! Experiment with force, kinetic and potential energy as you design and test a paddle boat and a balloon car. Then take on a crane challenge to learn how simple machines work.
