Build a Device to Help Rapunzel Escape Her Tower
Scouts will
put their engineering skills to the test as they design and build a
safe, clever escape device. Will it be a pulley system? A lift? A
zipline? Their creativity will guide the way!
Build a Carriage to Help Cinderella Get to the Ball
Using
provided materials, girls will craft a small-scale carriage and
explore wheel-and-axle engineering. Stability, speed, and design will
all play a role in helping Cinderella arrive at the ball on time.
Build a Bookcase for Belle's Ever-Growing Library
Campers will
design and build a sturdy miniature bookcase that reflects both
structure and style. They will learn the importance of balance,
support, and good planning-just like real engineers.
Build Snow White's Magic Mirror
Scouts will create a magical
mirror that blends art and engineering. They'll explore symmetrical,
reflective materials, and creative design while crafting their own
version of this fairy-tale object.
Build the Little Mermaid's Ocean Castle
Girls will dive into
structural engineering as they construct a castle inspired by the sea.
They'll explore balance, foundation strength, and imaginative
architecture fit for under-the-sea royalty.
By the end of the day, campers will have sharpened their critical thinking skills, strengthened their STEM confidence, and brought their fairy-tale inventions to life.
Engineer Explorers Day Camp proves that with creativity and courage, Girl Scouts truly can build anything!
