Girls will connect what they learn to their everyday lives by exploring how solar energy impacts their homes, communities, and the health of the planet. They will gain a deeper understanding of renewable energy as a sustainable, emission-free resource.
Finally, participants will take action by applying their knowledge-sharing ideas, promoting clean energy solutions, and exploring ways they can support solar energy use in their own communities.
This program encourages curiosity, environmental awareness, and leadership in building a cleaner energy future.
Participants will earn a unique FPL Solar Energy & Battery Storage Patch upon completion of the program.
This program is for Grades K - 3.
What to Bring & Wear
To ensure comfort and safety throughout the program:
- Wear closed-toe shoes
- Choose comfortable, flexible clothing such as biker shorts, capris, leggings, jeans, or pants
- Optional but recommended: hat and sunglasses for sun protection
- Bring a reusable water bottle (water refill stations will be available)
This program requires a minimum of 12 participants in order to proceed.
This is a drop-off event.
