The USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Certification course provides
participants with the necessary tools to maintain a high level of
safety on the archery range for camps and beginner archery programs.
The course covers:
- Range safety and setup
- The steps of shooting
- Equipment and repair
- Programs and lesson plans
Graduates of the program will be well prepared to teach beginner
archery programs to people of all ages and abilities in a variety of
disciplines. Upon successful completion of both the online coursework
and the in-person skills assessment, participants will earn a
USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Certification, valid
for three years.
Blended Learning Format
This is a blended learning course consisting of two components:
1. Online Coursework
- Must be completed and passed prior to attending the
in-person practical course session at camp.
- Self-paced;
takes approximately 3 hours to complete.
- Access instructions will be emailed after registration
closes.
- Must be completed by 12:00 p.m. (midnight) Thursday
prior to the in-person session.
2. In-Person Skills Demonstration (at camp)
- Once the online coursework has been completed, participants
must register for the practical course through USA Archery.
- A direct link for the practical course will be included in the
confirmation email from the council.
- Participants must
attend the full in-person session and successfully demonstrate
required skills to complete certification.
Registration Information
- Registration closes on 03/10/2026.
- Participants must be registered Girl Scout adults with an
approved background check.
- Registration is
non-transferable.

Cost & Subsidy Information
- Course fee: $15 per person.
- The full cost of this
course is $55 and is being subsidized this year at this reduced rate
thanks to a generous donation. No shows or cancellations after the
close of registration will be charged the full cost of the course to
their troop through an ACH to the troop bank account.
Registration closes 03/10/2026. Refunds and cancellations
cannot be processed after 03/10/2026.
