World Thinking Day is a special Girl Scout celebration that encourages girls to explore global cultures, build empathy, and recognize the importance of international friendship. This program invites troops to learn about the diverse traditions, customs, and experiences of people from around the world-starting right within their own communities.

During this program, troops will connect with many different  cultures by sharing the traditions, music, food, and history of the country of their choosing, helping girls understand and appreciate the richness of global diversity. Girls will also have the opportunity to participate in a Parade of Flags to proudly represent their selected country.

Through this engaging cultural exchange, Girl Scouts build leadership skills, kindness, and cultural awareness-core values of the Girl Scout movement. By participating in World Thinking Day, troops honor the global sisterhood of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts while learning how people around the world live, celebrate, and connect.

This event is open to all GSGCF troops.

Each participating group or individual chooses the country they will represent via Signup Genius on a first-come, first-served basis: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0844ABA72EA1F4C25-60675912-world

Each participating group or individual will research and present information about a chosen country through displays, traditional food, costumes, or short, interactive lessons.
